Fig 1
Light microscopic examination of Bouin’s fixed, paraffin-embedded testicular sections representing; (a) The normal histology of seminiferous tubules was observed in the ginkgo group (H&E, ×100). (b) Testicular edema, congestion and evident hemorrhage between seminiferous tubules were observed in the T/D group (H&E ×100). (c) In the ginkgo + T/D group, congestion and hemorrhage between seminiferous tubules were markedly decreased (H&E ×50). (d) In the sham group, only a few slight hemorrhagic areas were observed (H&E, ×100)
In the ginkgo group (group 3); seminiferous tubules, germ cells, sertoli and leydig cells appear complete without infiltration and hemorrhagic sign (Fig. 1 a) and provided basal appearance. .
In the T/D group (group 1), edema, congestion and hemorrhage between seminiferous tubules were predominant features in sections (Fig. 1 b).
In the ginkgo + T/D group (group 2), congestion and hemorrhage between seminiferous tubules were observed (Fig. 1 c).
In the sham group (group 4), there were only slight hemorrhage areas (Fig. 1 d)..
