Hepatic lesions such as degeneration and necrosis of hepatocytes
(Fig. 5 A), swelling of mitochondria, degeneration of their
matrix and crista, presence of myelin figures, increase of
autophagocytosis and lysosomes, depletion of glycogen and increase
in lipid droplets were the major findings in AP-induced hepatic
damage.
