Mean seed sizes and coefficient of variation within individual trees and between trees at 11 populations
The mean CVs in seed size within single trees ranged from 7.66 to 12.27% among the 11 populations, whereas the CVs among trees ranged from 13.23 to 28.11% (Table 3 ).
The variation in seed size did not differ between localities with or without squirrels (CV at localities with squirrels: 13.23–21.31, CV at localities without or few squirrels: 15.20–28.11, Table 3 ). .
The CVs of the population seed size were not always greater in regions with mice and squirrels than in those with only mice (Table 3 ).
