It was found that all colloids absorb continuously in the visible,
forming a broad band in the near-UV with a peak close to
203 nm, such as Fig. 1 shows for a Pd–2-propanol
The spectra were recorded at different times (Fig. 1 ,
inset), and A 203 (nm) was plotted against time as shown
in Fig. 2 .
